Liu Chun went to Chang'an University and Xi'an University of Science and Technology to exchange discrete element theory and application

From April 8th to 9th, Associate Professor Liu Chun visited Chang'an University and Xi'an University of Science and Technology to exchange reports on the development of discrete element theory and MatDEM system, and the application of MatDEM in geology and geotechnical engineering. Experts highly affirmed the development and application of MatDEM, and suggested further integration with practice to solve practical problems, especially in the aspects of loess structural, blasting and landslide, mining backfilling, dissolution and third-party universal interfaces. Experts also pointed out that numerical software development is very difficult, and the development of domestic numerical software has important practical significance and it must be continued. Through communication, we further clarified the development direction of MatDEM, thanks to the guidance, help and support of experts!
