The main program of MatDEM provides a complete secondary development function, creating a complex discrete element model by modifying standard examples. A series of examples have been provided, such as landslide, rock burst, impacts, pile-soil effects, and breaking rock with hob. The secondary development is based on the Matlab language, and each simulation usually consists of three files and more than one hundred lines of code.
MatDEM organizes data in a completely object-oriented way, and all calculation data can be saved and viewed at any time during the numerical simulation. At the same time, importing saved data can continue to be calculated.
