MatDEM 1.5 will be released in June to support 2D fluid-solid coupling and we will add new examples of 2D hydraulic fracturing, magma intrusion, and recrystallization. The "discrete element method and practice" online class is expected to be completed in June.

In July, the monograph "discrete element analysis of geological and geotechnical engineering Matrix" will be published, which introduced the basic principles and algorithms of the discrete element method The basic structure, modeling method, numerical calculation process, post-processing and system function of MatDEM software are introduced in detail. The content of the book will cover primary and secondary teaching video.

In september, course on discrete element methods and practice will  be taught online.

In October, MatDEM will redevelop the package function and the custom software window function. Second Development Code can be repackaged into a new professional procedures, such as Slopedem, TunnleDEM and other professional window procedures.

"The fourth discrete element method and MatDEM technical training" will be held during China Rock 2019 conference in Beijing in November.
