slope with piles

    Tang Siwen, 2018 Nanjing University Graduate Thesis: Numerical Simulation Analysis of slope pile support based on discrete element software MatDEM. There is a weak interlayer in the slope model generated by stacking and cutting. Cluster pile structures with different length and number were added at different heights of the slope. The slope slides under its own gravity, and the results are different under different supports.

    The unsupported slope has 273,500 units and 204,900 moving units. The calculation time is 15h10min and the simulation time is 11 seconds in the real world. The figure shows the cut surface at 4 meters

    In the middle of the slope, there are 5 supporting piles, the radius is 1 m, the spacing is 2 m, the length of the piles is 15 m, only a little under the soft layer. The total number of units is 277,000, the number of moving units is 208,500, the calculation time is 15h41min, the simulation time is 7.8 seconds in the real world, the figure is 6 meters (the first pile) section.

    In the middle of the slope, there are 5 supporting piles, the radius is 1 meter, the spacing is 2 meters, the pile length is 18 meters, and the soft layer is poured about 3 meters below. The total number of units is 277,600. The number of moving units is 209,000. The computation time is 15h53min. The simulation time is 7.8 seconds in the real world.

    At the foot of the slope set up 5 supporting piles, the radius is 1 m, spacing is 2 m, pile length is 5 m, filled into the soft layer of about 2 meters below. The total number of units is 275,800, the number of moving units is 207,300, the calculation time is 42h12min, the simulation time is 29.9 seconds in the real world, the figure is 10 meters (the third pile) section.
