Microwave breaking rock
MatDEM was used for numerical simulation of microwave rock breaking.Considering the effect of microwave, the particles expand and produce stress and crack.The example is user_BoxMixMat, updated at MatDEM1.02.We recorded the related details video which can be downloaded in the bulletin area.
The particle mixing model was established by automatic stacking.As shown in the figure below, red represents pyroxene particles that are easily conductive and expand, while blue represents feldspar particles that are not easily conductive.In the numerical simulation, pyroxene particles will gradually expand, creating a crack network.
