Rock impact net

By stacking and cutting, a spherical rolling stone composed of a large number of elements is generated. The slope is a boundary element (rigid).  Under the action of gravity, the rolling stone moves downward and hits the rigid mesh (steel mesh), and the mesh deforms and bounces back.

The total number of model elements is 200,000, and the number of motion elements is 18,300.The calculation took 70 minutes and simulated real world time for 3 seconds. This example is updated at matdem_v0.822.

Using flexible nets (ropes) and different blocks, the blocks initially collide with each other, roll, leap and hit the net.The total number of elements is 210,000 and the number of motion elements is 12,000.The calculation took 140 minutes and simulated real world time for 3.88 seconds.
